Lulabel Seitz, the 2018 valedictorian at Petaluma High School in California, was interrupted during her speech on June 2 when administrators cut her microphone. She was speaking about sexual assault, which was not approved prior to graduation.Seitz posted a video to YouTube documenting what happened during her June 2 graduation, with the first portion of the video taken by a classmate, showing the moment her microphone was cut off. Following the segment from her graduation, she chose to record the speech in it’s entirety.According to reports, students giving commencement speeches had to provide a copy to school officials prior to the ceremony.
