Hero scaffolders use harness and a cherry picker to save a woman on a bridge
- 5 years ago
Three scaffolders saved a suicidal woman from the edge of a bridge after creating a makeshift rope harness - before lifting her to safety with a cherry picker.
Builders Mark Hitchens, 49, and Richard Norris, 50, down tools after noticing the distressed female standing on the wrong side of railings over a busy road.
They grabbed a rope and rushed to the scene, where a passer-by had managed to engage the woman in conversation and calm her down.
