British thrill-seeker flies across South Africa with 100 balloons

This amazing video shows the moment a thrill-seeker floated from 100 helium balloons above South Africa while strapped to a camping chair. Tom Morgan, 38, reached heights of 8,000ft - nearly 16 miles - after spending two days filling the balloons with helium. He described the flight as “magical” and said: "The problem was finding a good weather window and it was difficult to protect the balloons as they kept bursting.” He had previously attempted the feat three times in Botswana, before finally succeeding in South Africa, north of Johannesburg - using the last of the helium.
