This is the moment a van was completely submerged by the tide after being parked on a beach by a dosy driver. The owner of the silver Transit Custom van dumped the vehicle on the sand before abandoning it for over four hours. But as the tide moved in on Southend seafront, Essex, the van was caught on camera disappearing beneath the surface of the waves. Moments before the roof dipped below the water, emergency services arrived - just in time to cut a hole in the roof to make sure no-one was trapped inside.
