Bakers have created the world's first cake-making cake - in the theme of WALLACE AND GROMMIT. The team at Peboryon cake studio – who last year achieved global acclaim for their gravity-defying, levitating wedding cake and life-sized Yoda – has gone a step further this time with a six foot, 20-stone Victoria sponge making cake. After teaming up with Bristol Children's Hospital charity The Grand Appeal and Aardman, the makers of Wallis and Gromit, Christine and Phil Jensen came up with the idea utilising the characters - and their tendency for eccentric inventions - to develop a "cracking" contraption like no other. "Cake-O-Matic has been the most inspiring cake we've designed to date," said Christine Jensen, creative director at Peboryon, based in Penzance, Cornwall.
