Arthur Taylor, 52, had been drinking in a pub when he returned home to fetch the large blade which he swung at Joe Crawford. The victim managed to dive out of the way of the machete, which Taylor used in a “chopping motion” in scenes clearly caught on CCTV. He was ordered to spend 12 months behind bars by a judge at Preston Crown Court who told him: “Instead of getting help from the police you went home and armed yourself with a large machete. “You came back to the scene of the argument and threatened Mr Crawford.
