Update on Kai, the Paddington Ayr abandoned dog

The dog which became world famous after being dumped at a train station is successfully recovering from an eye operation, his carers revealed yesterday (Fri).
Kai the Shar-Pei was found outside the Ayr station in Scotland at the beginning of January.
He has had thousands of offers of adoption since his story came to light and now the Scottish SPCA says he is "really coming on" since his operation last week to fix a problem with his eye lids.
The dog's eyelashes were rubbing against the surface of his eyes, causing him pain and discomfort, which is a common problem amongst his breed.
Kindhearted animal lovers helped pay for the £600 operation after the charity put an appeal online.
Kai's eyes are now noticeably wider, but he is stuck wearing a pet cone until he stops scratching them.
Sharon Bruce, senior animal care assistant, said: "He's had the operation on both eyes, which was very successful, and he is just going through the healing process just now.
"It's looking really good for him. He needs to wear the collar just so he doesn't scratch them.
"He is really coming on. He's very friendly and he has really been an asset to the society."
The woman who abandoned him, Fin Rayner, 39, from Aberdeenshire, had travelled to Ayr to purchase Kai but tried to return him to his previous owner after the sale fell through.
