On day three in Mumbai, I met up with my friend Tanmay and we went to eat some typical Maharashtrian Indian Food and visited the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Elephanta Island!

Our first stop of the day was the Kyani & Co Cafe, a legendary Irani bakery, it was established in 1904! We had some Bun Muska and Chai to start. Then we had Egg Bhurjee Pav which is eggs with spices and some bread.

Next we headed to the Gateway of India and from there we hopped on a 1 hour ferry ride to Elephanta Island. This is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that is dedicated to Lord Shiva. This is the #1 day trip to take from Mumbai, India.

We then hit up the Colaba Market to see if we can find some souvenirs. I personally didn't love it because there wasn't anything of quality. I really wanted a mask but there wasn't any.

On the way to lunch we passed Marine Drive, which is the seafront area of Mumbai. It is called the Queen's necklace because at night from the sky it resembles a Queen's pearl necklace.

For lunch we ate Maharashtrian Indian Food fit for a king! We first tried Thalipeeth which is Indian pancakes. Next up is Kothimbir Vadi which was like a veggy burger, soooo good!

The next place was Sabudana Vada which is small white balls and the last dish was Misal Pav which is a spicy curry with potatoes and eaten with bread. To end the meal we had a smooth creamy Lassi!

We ended our tour at the Mahalakshmi Temple, one of the most famous temples in all of Mumbai!
