Parkland Survivor Cameron Kasky Blasts Trump As A ‘Professional Liar’

A Parkland survivor has criticized President Trump's recent NRA speech.
A student from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School has slammed President Trump, calling him a "professional liar" in the wake of his Friday's speech to the National Rifle Association.
During an appearance on CNN's 'New Day' Saturday, Cameron Kasky was asked what he would say to Trump given his comments to the gun lobby despite appearing to advocate for tighter gun restrictions just months ago after the school shooting in February.
In response, the Parkland survivor said, "I don't necessarily know. You see, he's a professional liar who will say anything to appease whatever crowd he's at."
"If he's in front of families he might say something in support of common sense gun reform, but then, when he's at the NRA, he'll say something to get a big cheer," Kasky continued.
In fact, the crowd did cheer as Trump told them, "Your Second Amendment rights are under siege. But they will never, ever be under siege as long as I am your president."
Despite the call for major gun reform after the school massacre, Reuters notes, "no major new federal gun controls have been imposed, although the administration is pursuing a proposed regulatory ban on 'bump stocks.'"
