Entertainment for the Braindead ist das Soloprojekt der in Berlin lebenden Kölnerin Julia Kotowski. Dem sperrigen Namen zum Trotz hat sie sich den ganz leisen Tönen verschrieben, die sie mit einem Sammelsurium an kleinen Instrumenten und gefundenen Sounds zusammenwebt. Auf der Bühne wird sie mittels Loopsampler zu ihrer eigenen Begleitband, schichtet behutsam Instrumentalspuren zu Arrangements und singt darüber mit sich selbst im Chor. 2017 erschien ihre EP „Sun“, auf der sie in acht sphärischen Songs die Abwesenheit von Regen besingt. Im April und im Mai geht Entertainment for the Braindead auf Tour!

Entertainment for the Braindead is the solo project of Berlin based singer and multi-instrumentalist Julia Kotowski. Since 2007 she has been creating mostly very quiet sounds, assembling the noises of small instruments, field recordings and delicate vocal arrangements into introvert folk songs. The results have been published in various, often half conceptual releases on web platforms and as hand crafted cd editions. On stage she weaves soft synths into layered guitar loops and choirs of her own voice. In 2017 she released her new EP „Sun“ that consists of eight ethereal songs about the absence of rain.
