Making A Slingshot Out Of Solid Aluminum Rod
Making a metal slingshot, or bent wire slingshot! In this video I build an incredibly accurate, ergonomic, aluminum slingshot, using only a propane torch, hand tools and lots of hard work! Shooting test at the end! Torch (Heat Source) I Used In The Video: This thing is awesome! I have been using it for years, and Id highly recommend it to beginning metalworkers, or anyone interested in metalwork of this kind (it also works for soldering, and super light brazing). Its a great introductory torch, and I think its the perfect way to get into the wonderful world of metal bending/forging without breaking the bank.\r

I made this design with the intent of creating something that was comfortable, easy to use, and very effective. I took inspiration from many sources, most notably from Wingshooters older designs. These slingshots feature no complicated mechanics, no bells or whistles to take away from the shooting (however I do pay special attention to keeping the forks perfectly parallel and level for accurate shooting). Just a good old fashioned ergonomic slingshot that is one heck of a shooter! I love them so much I pretty much only shoot these anymore!\r
