Now to the markets,....
Wall Street was down across the board on Wednesday,... following President Trump's decision to seek fresh tariffs on China,... intensifying fears of a trade war that could raise costs and hurt overseas sales for U.S. firms.
The Dow Jones fell a bit,... as Boeing shares tumbled over two-percent,... with investors particularly vulnerable to retaliation-- and it led the losers on the Dow.
The S&P 500 closed zero-point-6 percent lower at 2,749-point-4,... while the tech-heavy Nasdaq slipped less than that-- to close at 7,496-point-8.
The Korean markets were mixed on Wednesday,... as investors took to the sidelines a week before a rate-hike decision meeting by U.S. Federal Reserve.
The benchmark KOSPI closed zero-point-3 percent lower to finish at 2,486,... while the junior-bourse KOSDAQ edged up less than one-tenth-of-a-percent to finish at 886-point-9.
