Cashierless Stores the e-commerce giant is expected to open the stores later this year. According to Recode, Amazon is considering locations and in Los Angeles and Seattle, where the first Amazon Go store opened last month. Customers enter and make purchases in an Amazon Go store via a smartphone app and a QR code. Shoppers are billed
once they leave. The Los Angeles location would be a part of The Grove, a 600,000-square-foot outdoor shopping mall. The push into brick-and-mortar stores comes amid the company's push into the realm of groceries after it bought Whole Foods in 2017.
