TEDxSydney is the leading platform for the propagation of Australian ideas, creativity and innovation to the rest of the world, and one of the largest TEDx events in the world. This year TEDx Sydney was held in June at the ICC Sydney, Darling Harbour, allowing a record number of attendees into the TEDxSydney community.

Check out this photo real CGI, stop motion style 3D opening titles piece Directed by Scott Geersen! The theme of TEDx Sydney 2017 was "unconventional". To zig when others zag, to think outside the box, to go against the flow, break free from the status quo, make one's own luck, and find new paths. Being unconventional often results in disruption and innovation - and in ideas worth spreading.
As a silver partner, it was an honor for Substance to contribute to the record-breaking event with opening titles, session IDs, online stings, speaker announcements, and digital signage, across formats from 2k-6k.
In the opening titles, the idea of unconventionality is illustrated using playful animation of simple geometric shapes - a cube, sphere, and pyramid - in photoreal, stop motion style 3D.
