Everyone's Favorite Shirtless Tongan is Back for 2018 Winter Olympics Remember this guy? Tonga's Pita Taufatofua captivated the world in 2016 when he walked shirtless and carried his country's flag in the opening ceremony of the Summer Olympics in Rio. Now, thanks to a lot of hard work and one or two miracles, he's back and qualified for the 2018 Winter Olympics. True to his brand and despite the below freezing temperatures, Taufatofua still oiled up and carried the flag as his nation's lone Winter Olympic athlete. Taufatofua participated in
taekwondo in Rio and will be participating in cross country skiing events in Pyeongchang. He is the first athlete from Tonga to participate in both the Summer and Winter Olympics. Good luck Pita!
