A short film of Edgar Allan Poes classic story The Masque of the Red Death. This film was created during my time as a student at the University of Technology, Sydney for Media Arts and Production. \r

***A note on the Chambers***: In light of the feedback given with regards to the omission of the chambers or rooms that featured in the original story, I would like to emphasize that I agree it is a shame they could not be featured in this film. However, this was a student film I created when I was 21, and due to constraints with the location, and the extremely small budget on which this film was produced (self-funded), I was unable to include that level of detail in the final story. I did, however, make a subtle effort by including appropriately colored drapes and lighting schemes throughout the scene, from the top of the stairs all the way down to the final red clock chamber. Apologies if you are disappointed in this particular aspect of the film, and I hope you enjoyed watching it despite this small omission from the original story.\r

English teachers and students: Feel free to show and discuss this film as much as you like if you feel it would prove a valuable resource for studying Poes work! And if you are a teacher or student who has seen the film, feel free to say hi or offer your thoughts about the poem or Poes work in general! Education is important, so please enjoy! \r

I have also transcribed the entire piece using Poes original work as a basis, so captions should now be accurate (rather than having to rely on YouTubes automatic captioning).
