Start Of The 2017 Back Country Season

This is the start of the New Zealand back country trout season. It opens on the 01st of October every year. This is a tiny little stream with big rainbows. I use a dry fly, which acts as an indicator, a one meter tippet and a small weighted Nymph. The trout hit hard and play nasty.
