How Transgender Individuals Are Being Processed Into The Military

A detailed process has been released by the Pentagon that specifies how transgender individuals will be inducted into the military. According to nbcnews.com, Members of the military are now able to “join according to their “preferred” gender, rather than their sex at birth.” They must provide a birth certificate, a passport, or court order indicating their preferred sex, and then they will be processed. This is a huge step for the acceptance of the LGBTQ community in the United States.
