The Black Room is a four-piece rock band formed in the summer of 2014 in Rijeka, Croatia.
The group consists of Jakov Katalinić (vocal, guitar), Leo Ventin (vocal, guitar), Miljen Sirotić (bass) and Ivan Ritoša (drums).
The band's sound is reminiscent of and rooted in garage rock with influences from neo-psychedelia and noise pop bands of late 80's and 90's.
Lyrics are inspired by personal stories from the city, with its protagonists living against a backdrop of rock, poetry and nightlife.
Rejecting the standard narrative values, the lyrics also deal with themes of social status, isolation, exploration and achieving personal freedom.
The Black Room EP serves as a teaser for the upcoming album - Q1/2016
