Stefano Bannò alias Anansi nasce a Trento nel 1989 da genitori siciliani. Fin dall’infanzia, dimostra un’inclinazione naturale verso la musica e in particolare verso la composizione. Dal suo primo contatto con la musica all’eta’ di 9 anni, impara gradualmente a suonare chitarra, basso e percussioni.
Nel 2009 esce il suo primo album solista “Anansi” con Distar Records.
In luglio 2009 entra nella band Roy Paci & Aretuska, la più famosa reggae/ska/patchanka band italiana. Nel maggio 2010 esce “Latinista” di Roy Paci & Aretuska, in cui Anansi affianca il musicista siciliano come co-interprete e co-autore. Durante “Mundo Tour”, la band fa tappa in molte città italiane in occasione di eventi molto importanti, il “Primo Maggio” di Roma, il “Womad Festival” a Palermo e gli “MTV Days” a Torino. In ottobre 2010, insieme agli Aretuska, Anansi partecipa a HitWeek, durante la quale ha modo di esibirsi nei celebri club Le Poisson Rouge di New York City ed El Rey Theater di Los Angeles, dividendo il palco con Negrita ed Apres La Classe. Nel 2011 Anansi partecipa al 61° Festival di Sanremo nella sezione giovani con il brano “Il sole dentro” contenuto nel suo secondo album di inediti “Tornasole” uscito per Atlantic/Warner Music e ricco di diverse collaborazioni fra cui Frankie Hi-NRG, Bunna degli Africa Unite e gli amici Bastard Sons Of Dioniso. Nell’estate 2011 apre a Robert Plant e Ben Harper a Milano e Roma. A tre anni dall’uscita di “Tornasole”, Anansi torna in aprile 2014 con il singolo “Inshallah”. Nel brano si è avvalso della collaborazione del celebre rapper e cantautore Ghemon.
Nel 2015 ha partecipato in qualità di compositore in due brani dell'album “Niente che non va” dell'artista romano Coez, “Still Life” e “Costole rotte”.
Nel giugno 2016 esce, accompagnato da un videoclip, il singolo Ci stavamo dentro, incluso nella compilation “Undamento 01” pubblicata dall'etichetta milanese Undamento.

Stefano Bannò a.k.a. Anansi was born in Trento (Italy) in 1989 to Sicilian parents. Since childhood, he has showed a natural aptitude for music, and song writing in particular. Since his first contact with music at the age of nine, he has gradually learnt to play guitar, bass, drums and percussions and at the age of just thirteen he started writing his first original compositions.
In 2009 he joined Roy Paci & Aretuska, the most famous Italian reggae/ska/patchanka band, as MC/Vocalist and performed all over Europe at important festivals such as “Nuke Festival” (Wiesen, Austria), “Das Fest” (Karlsruhe, Germania), “Le Nuits Du Sud” (Vence, Francia), “Musica del Mondo” (Isola d’Elba, Italia), “Demofest” (Lamezia Terme, Italia), “La Mar de Musicas” (Cartagena, Spagna), “Fiesta de Santiago” (Santiago de Compostela, Spagna), “Salento Summer Festival” (Lecce, Italia), “Etnafest” (Catania, Italia), “Negro Festival” (Salerno, Italia).
In 2010 Anansi collaborated with Roy Paci & Aretuska as co-writer and performer in their new album “Latinista”. During “Mundo Tour”,
In October 2010, Anansi took part longside the Aretuska at HitWeek, a small tour in the U.S. during which he performed in Le Poisson Rouge (New York) and El Rey Theater (Los Angeles) with Italian bands Negrita and Apres La Classe.
In 2011 Anansi took part at 61st Festival di Sanremo, the biggest Italian TV show, with the song Il Sole Dentro, included in his second solo album “Tornasole”, published by Atlantic/Warner Music (Frankie HI-NRG, Bunna Africa Unite , The Bastard Sons Of Dioniso.
In 2014 Anansi was back with the single “Inshallah” featuring the Italian and singer-songwriter Ghemon. Written, composed and almost entirely played by Anansi.
In 2015 he took part as composer in two songs (Costolerotte and StillLife) included in Coez’s latest release “Niente che non va”.
In June 2016, his brand new single Ci stavamo dentro was released by Undamento in the compilation Undamento 01.
