Rolando Bruno y su Orquesta Midi nace en el 2005, paralelamente a su otro ex grupo Los Peyotes, en la soledad de su habitación y junto a su máximo aliado, su computadora, que utiliza para crear sus bases cumbieras. Influenciado por la psicodelia, el rock de los 60s y la cumbia peruana, Rolando nos brinda un show energético a puro baile amazónico en formato “one man band” u “hombre orquesta” acompañado por su orquesta midi, reducida en una notebook, y por su guitarra. La dosis justa de cumbia, sonidos del mundo Y Rock Vintage. Su “Cumbia Trash” llegó a varios puertos del mundo, además de incontables shows en Argentina y países vecinos, cuenta con varias extensas giras por Europa y 2 visitas a japón. Tambien formó su super grupo en Buenos Aires, presentándose como ROLANDO BRUNO Y EL GRUPO AREVALO , con un seleccionado de musicos del under porteño, de bandas como Les Mentettes, Alfonso El Pintor, Los Espíritus y Los Pecera. En el 2017, este trotamundos quiere seguir presentando por todo el planeta su ULTIMO album: BAILAZO (2015), editado por el sello suizo `VOODOO RHYTHM` y nuevas canciones de su próximo disco que dará a luz en el transcurso del 2018, así que a moverse y a menear que se viene el bailazo a pura cumbia trash!
Rolando Bruno and His MIDI Orchestra (cumbia chicha) is the solo project of Rolando Bruno (Ex- Los Peyotes guitar) that began in 2005 in his room with his best friend: the computer. The Peruvian 60s curiosity led him to know the magical world of “psychedelic beat” Cumbia, sounds full of fuzz, wah wah guitars and farfisa organs. So he started creating MIDI based tracks of the Peruvian Cumbia greatest hits, in his magical room.
Influences? Late 60s, 70s, 80s Peruvian Cumbia like Chacalon y la nueva Crema, Los Destellos, los Pakines, Los Mirlos, Los Shapis, Juaneco y su Combo, and of course all the 60s music.
This is Full Blast Psychedelic Latino Cumbia Garage with a very Cheesy Touch of a 70's Supermarket! He takes things and throws it into the Rolando Bruno shredder and what comes out is super unique. Cumbia Music like it could be recorded in 1967! he already did countless shows in Buenos Aires, toured Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland etc., played on many festivals, including: Funtastic Dracula Carnival (ES) Cine Lation Festival Tübingen (GER) Guacamayo Fest with Chicha Libre (ES) Tri Marchi (Mar del Plata, AR) and many more!
