PRESENTED BY WILL SEBASTIAN

Rising star Cameron Bloomfield has released his debut EP ‘The Night Before’, which features upbeat funk track ‘Get In Get Out’

‘The Night Before’ EP is a collection of songs that tells a story of a big night out unfolding into the day after. The EP brings to light the ways people use a ‘night out’ to escape from themselves and how we deal with external and internal pressures that can affect us negatively. Taking inspiration from his own experiences, Cameron says “All [tracks] are stories taken from my life, everything from the house parties when we were kids to getting stranded on the Isle of Wight for a couple days after a festival - there are a few questionable decisions in there but where there's a stain there's a story!”

The five track EP draws influences from soul, R&B, jazz, funk and pop with Cameron’s stunning vocal resonating in each song. ‘The Night Before’ includes new track ‘Change’ which was co-written and produced by Bloomfield and Swiss musician Pablo Nouvelle (Black Butter Records, Armada Music). On ‘Change’, Cameron states “’Change’ talks about how the past, or more specifically, how lingering relationships can affect your state of mind. How caring for someone can leave you open to hurt but inevitably you have to return to that place of vulnerability to grow.”

A multi-instrumentalist, Cameron has gigged right across London performing shows at Indigo at The O2, Shepherd’s Bush Empire, Wireless Festival and more. He also featured on one the UK’s top rap artists Ghetts’ critically acclaimed album ‘Rebel Without A Cause’.

Now with the release of his debut EP, Cameron is well on his way to affirming a place as one of the most exciting new artists to watch leading into 2018.
