In Another Jab At Moore, Trump Says We Need 'Great Republican Candidates'

Roy Moore failed to chalk up a win in the Alabama Senate race on Tuesday, and President Trump is apparently not letting the loss pass quietly into history.
Trump took to Twitter on Wednesday morning to take some jabs at the defeated Republican candidate.
"If last night's election proved anything, it proved that we need to put up GREAT Republican candidates to increase the razor thin margins in both the House and Senate," the president wrote.
That tweet was preceded by, "The reason I originally endorsed Luther Strange (and his numbers went up mightily), is that I said Roy Moore will not be able to win the General Election. I was right! Roy worked hard but the deck was stacked against him!"
Though Trump ultimately backed Moore, he did so without setting foot in Alabama, notes CNN.
He held one rally not far from the Alabama border and did the bulk of his campaigning for the candidate via Twitter.
On election day, Trump attempted to pull voters away from Democratic candidate Doug Jones and toward Moore.
"The people of Alabama will do the right thing. Doug Jones is Pro-Abortion, weak on Crime, Military and Illegal Immigration, Bad for Gun Owners and Veterans and against the WALL," Trump tweeted. "Jones is a Pelosi/Schumer Puppet. Roy Moore will always vote with us. VOTE ROY MOORE!"
