Tick off your bucket list and climb Kilimanjaro this New Year
We’re inviting you to join us on a unique once in a life time adventure. Climb Mount Kilimanjaro this New Years Eve and Follow Alice into 2018 with your friends above the clouds. Leave us your email and/or phone number below and we will be in contact shortly to discuss the trip with you.
About Kilimanjaro
Mount Kilimanjaro is actually a dormant volcano (don’t worry, its last major eruption was more than 360,000 years ago!) and is the highest mountain in Africa. Imagine welcoming in 2018 watching the sun rise 5,895m (19,341ft) above sea level on one of the world’s most iconic peaks! You will find the highest free standing mountain in the world in the Kilimanjaro National Park, Tanzania (‘free standing’ meaning it is not part of a mountain range). It is made up of three volcanos; Shira, Mawnzi and Kibo. The Uhuru summit, located on the Kibo volcano, is the second closest point on the earth to the sun. There are seven established routes to climb Kilimanjaro, and each route varies in length, difficulty and scenery. Find out about what routes we have chosen for our trips and why here.
Climbing Kilimanjaro is like trekking through a nature documentary. The mountain contains 5 unique ecosystems and virtually every type of ecological system. These include cultivated land, rain forest, heath, moorland, alpine desert, and an arctic summit. As you climb you pass through undisturbed rainforest, witness unique lava towers and exotic animals, talk to the indigenous Chaga people, all the while walking above the clouds and looking down at the sprawling savanna.
Why not get away for Christmas too?
Go all out and fly a few days earlier to spend Christmas on safari or at the beach! Spend your holidays in Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park, both world UNESCO heritage sites and some of the richest places in the world for wildlife, or in Zanzibar for some of the best beaches in the world.
Speak to us about the options, we’d love to hear from you!
