Eye-Catching Bathroom Tile Ideas
Whether you favor bold brights or sleek neutrals, channel this design inspiration to create a spa-like oasis.
Spain, Morocco, Japan, you name it — the designers featured here looked around the globe to infuse a home's most intimate space with international flair.

TILED TUB
The grays and blues of a California bathroom by Christina Rottman echo the Pacific Ocean just outside. The tub's teal tiles from Ann Sacks match an antique rug from Mansour to a T.

BASKET WEAVE
With Carrara marble peaking out from beneath the cast-iron clawfoot tub, a basket weave insert from Cumar provides additional detail in the center of a Massachusetts master bathroom. Interior designer Hattie Holland chose Farrow & Ball's Parma Gray for the trim since it "has a historic feeling with that gray cast and plays off the Carrara marble so well.
UNDULATING WAVES
Colleen Bashaw drew inspiration from soothing spas to pull together this guest bath. Floor tile from Studium ebbs and flows across the room, while Cole & Son's Palm Leaves wallpaper adds a tropical touch up top.

HEXAGONAL PATTERN
"I wanted drama!" says designer SuzAnn Kletzien of this daring en suite bathroom. The impact begins with a dynamic hexagonal-tile "rug" by Artistic Tile. In Nero Marquina, Pacific White and Thassos marbles, it's a luxe version of traditional penny-tile.

BRIGHT BLUE
Adriatic Sea tiles by Fireclay Tile line the shower in Justina Blakeney's "Jungalow." The pattern — and trio of niches — set off a jewel-like mirror.

NAVY WALLS
This "fisherman's shack" sits directly on top of the water, so bands of Ann Sacks tile echo ocean views outside. The floors look shipshape thanks to Carrara hexagonal tiles.

GOLD LEAF
"I've always loved those glass gold-leaf tiles ... they are so Liberace!" says Bailey McCarthy of Ann Sacks's Davlin collection. Calacatta Gold marble and an antique chandelier make the renovated master bathroom a real showstopper.

CEMENT STYLE
Cement floor tiles pick up the gray and "add just the right amount of pattern," says designer Daleet Spector of an understated bath. "And they're cool and fresh on bare feet. The room is luxurious but in a very modern, understated way."

CIRCULAR PATTERN
The circular motif of Ann Sacks's Beau Monde Glass Mosaics tile in this San Francisco master bathroom echos the round stool and Roman shade

MOROCCAN BLUE
In a Cape Cod bathroom, designer Kyle Timothy Blood created a T-shaped carpet of tile in a Moroccan pattern. "Did you notice how the 'carpet' runs right under the vanity?" the designer says. The tile and woodwork is from Mosaic House.

CHECKERBOARD FLOOR
The shower stall of a California guest bathroom is clad in Carrara marble tiles from Stones Unlimited and the Soho marble tiles are from Exquisite Surfaces.
