- iPhone 5S has A7 processor (not A6, iPhone 5 had that)\r
- Facetime Camera (front) is 720p 1.2MP not 1080p. That being said it looks much better all around (especially in low light) compared to iPhone 5S.\r
- iPhone 5S can only shoot 720p when doing slow motion 120fps (still fantastic though)\r

Whats up Nerdgasm fans, over the holidays I visited the Apple store (Dont hate!) and decided after looking at some android phones that I would stick with Apple for one more generation just to retain support for all my 3rd party peripherals like Ankicar, Parrot AR Drone & Belkin WeMo switches and my whole plethora of iOS interfaces around my house. The main reason for staying was to remain supportive of my ecosystem I have in place, had that system not been there I probably would have gone Android. \r
\r
That being said after using the device for a whole week I can say Im nothing but happy. Its super fast, Siri is now ually stable and reliable, the camera is amazing compared to the iPhone 5S and takes great pictures both front facing and rear facing and the burst shot and slow motion modes allow me to get great shots of my kid which I think is just amazing.\r
\r
I ually really like iOS 7 even though its not an innovation in any way shape or form compared to its Android counter parts. But the place it really shines for me is reliability. Android apps simply are not as stable in the long run, android allows you the freedom of multi-tasking and configuration your OS so much that most software cant handle the variation in execution on the platform and things like race conditions (look it up) lead to crashes, etc. iOS as it really good at keeping it simple and creating a closed eco system that allows them infinite control (which Im against) but some how it just works. I let my wife use my Nexus 7 for a while and she was confused with it and said she would not give up here iOS device so again I had to stick with the ECO system so we could use things like air drop, etc together.\r
\r
I hope you Android fans dont judge me too harshly since I still own two Nexus 7s and use them daily not to mention an nVidia Shield that my kid plays on all the time! This is just something I had to do to keep peace with my hardware around me (including my wife) and I cant say that Im that upset about it since the phone does everything I ask of it and then some.\r
\r
Ultimately the iPhone 5S seems like what the iPhone 5 should have been. Its faster and more stable and the advanced features work in real time like you would expect where they lagged on the last generation. This is a good milestone for Apple but I cant imagine they are going to keep going up with Steve Jobs out of the picture. I think they will inevitably get greedier and start producing products that are not worth the premium and people will shy away.\r
\r
But Im going to enjoy it while it lasts!\r
