Boxing has been near-death, in terms of relevancy, for at least several years now. Mayweather-Pacquiao, and the disappointment that it provided, hastened the sports demise. This "match" (if you could call it that, since it's a gimmick match and shameless cash grab in all but name) is being hyped to the mountaintops with a multi-city press tour, but it all-but-signals the end of boxing's relevance.
