The customs of ucwepn #2 Stephen, VR B & T, Paxton, Diesel, Murdoch & magic Percy Oct new

Hi Guys and Gals another batch of customs and there are even more on the workbench but progress has been slower than I would like so it may be a couple of months until the next vid like this. I have a few reviews and quick runs to film too :D\r

Stephen the Rocket is something I have been slowly working on for a couple of months, you saw the custom coach in the last video this time its Stephens turn! I used parts from a Dapol OO gauge Stephensons Rocket kit to add detail parts to Stephen like the correct smoke stack and supports and the cab levers. It is just short enough to sneak under the bridges.\r

Paxton & Diesel, well this pair of locos has undergone the surgery that you saw in my Paxton trion rod video and both now have trion rods, Paxton is completely standard but Diesel has an upgraded motor and weights added, he pulls very hard now.\r

Victorian Railways B class tribute started out life as 2 Chuggington Wilsons so quite an expensive custom to make as I had to chop them both up, still cheaper than using a pair of rare TOMY F units though so for what it is I am very happy with how it turned out. These locos are fast so no need to mod it for power or speed. I have also fitted a 1.5v grain of rice bulb for a head lamp.\r
\r
Victorian Railways T class tribute started out life as a TM Salty I then stripped it down, added an upgraded motor (so it can double head with the B class), painted it blue and gold, then added decals and grab irons (hand rails) made from brass wire. Great runner and one of my favorites. Victorian railways ceased to be in the early 1980s and became V/line. There are many preserved vintage diesels here in VR paint scheme.\r

Murdoch is one I did a while ago as he was a problematic runner and a fast motor alone did not cure his poor performance, Adding 3v to a dedicated car behind him solved all the issues of poor running as he can now fly over bad sections of track and not miss a beat. It was not possible to house the battery pack inside the boiler like I wanted.\r
\r
Percy for Zane is my first custom for someone else :D Anyway Percy now runs on a AAA battery in its own holder so it clears the base of the 6 tag toggle switch with the shell fitted. the switch is wired in between the battery and Percy and can reverse the polarity by flicking the switch. Its the same principle as putting the battery in backwards.\r
\r
Stepney is a work in progress that is waiting for paint it will most likely be another black BR loco as they are the simplest for me and easy to get good results.\r
\r
Hope you liked the video its been a while in the making :D
