Pros:\r
• This pen sells for $30! + shipping so its $40 which is a great price for a 3d pen\r
• The 4 Blue lights harden the ink quickly, which makes it very easy to draw up into the air.\r
• I really like how vibrant the colors are. There are 12 colors of ink available.\r
• I thought it was interesting that you squeeze the pen to get the ink out. This gives you more control over the speed of the ink as you can squeeze harder or softer. However it can make your hand tired in your doing a larger project.\r
• The pen is slim and easy to hold.\r
• Since the light is battery powered, you dont need to plug in the pen. Also I really like how the light and ink can be used separately or together giving you more drawing options.\r
\r
Cons:\r
• The ink is sticky and can get all over the place so youll want to make sure youre prepared. Using disposable table cloths is a good idea and an Alcohol based hand sanitizer works well to get the ink off of your hands.\r
• Your creations will be sticky right when you complete them. Put your creations out in the sun in order to completely dry them.\r
• The ink gets a little hot right when you shine the Blue light on it. But cools off within a few seconds. Make sure you dont dry the ink with the blue light while its on your skin.\r
• Sometimes the ink sticks to the tip, but its quick and easy to fix with the tool they provided.\r
• The pen only comes with 2 ink colors; youll definitely want to buy some extra colors! Also check my video review to see how much ink is in one container (theres a good amount)\r
\r
What you get for ($30 + Shipping)\r
• The box comes with a pen, 2 inks (blue and red), 4 pen tips, an unclogging tool, instructions, and a double A battery.\r
• Extra ink cartridges (different colors) costs $6 per ink\r
\r
How to get started:\r
• This 3d printing pen works by using Blue led lights to harden the ink as you squeeze it out of the pen\r
• First, take the cap off of the ink and replace it with a tip. Then put the ink in the pen and secure it with the lock. Insert the battery at the top (Battery included!)\r
• Squeeze to get the ink out, and then turn on the light to harden the ink.\r
• Its best to make a base by squeezing some ink out before you turn on the light. This will prevent the nozzle from clogging.\r
• This pen draws up in the air really well.\r
• Make sure you avoid drawing on bright surfaces. Doing this made it much easier to draw!\r
• Also check out the Pro Tips section of the instructions for more helpful tips on using the pen!\r
