One-way Ticket to Mars (RT Documentary)

The Mars One mission is a one-way ticket to the Red Planet. It’s scheduled for 2023, when the first group of 4 men and women will land on Mars. There, they’re expected to collect data, plant oxygen-producing vegetation and prepare the planet for human colonization. Despite the obvious dangers of this enterprise, over 200,000 people from around the world have applied. Anastasia, from Moscow, has made it to this daring project’s short-list. What draws her towards the fourth planet from the Sun and away from Earth? She’s always felt she’s lacked a purpose in life, as she’s whiled away her years waiting for ‘real life’ to begin. When she heard of the mission, she knew it was what she’d been waiting for. Even though most of her friends and acquantances don’t support her decision to take the one-way trip to Mars, she’s determined to make her dream come true.
