In the skies above Greece, something spectacular has been happening.

At Athens Flying Week, top aviation teams from around the world have been demonstrating their flight skills, leaving crowds opened mouthed with wonder.

One highlight of the show from September 11-17 is Britain’s famous Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows.

“I have had a fantastic career. So far I’ve been involved with over 630 displays with the team and I’ve been to 46 countries in one of these red aircrafts,” said Squadron Leader Mike Ling.

“So its a true honour for me to represent the Royal Air Force and represent Great Britain. We love coming here to Greece, we train here in Greece every year.”

“We are always happy that we can meet with people, that people are happy, that people are waving to pilots and it is always a great experience,” said Mikolaj Lysiak of the Polish display team.

Keeping their feet on the ground, the crowd can only marvel at the skill and courage those who making this air show so exhilarating.
