Lay Z Spa Monaco High PH Level after fresh refill - Read the description for Tips!

  • 7 лет назад
Following a fresh water install it is extremely important that your water does not have too much chlorine and is PH balanced.\r
\r
This video shows the lovely bubble jet strength from the little motor. The 1st test shows both high PH and Chlorine levels, this was due to adding Spa Shock a few hours earlier. I added PH- mix to lower the PH level while the jets were on. I then left the heater and filter on overnight. The 2nd test shows the result with a PH between 7.4-7.6.\r
\r
Getting the PH to the correct level of 7.2 - 7.6 PH usually fixes frothing, cloudiness, build ups or deposits\r
\r
This means I will have no calcium/limescale build up and will extend the life of the tub and the motor.\r
\r
Once the water heats(about 6 hours after this video) I expect that the PH and chlorine levels will be slightly lower as the SPA SHOCK wears off (7.2-7.4) and will be safe for use.\r
\r
Both products are shown in the video and can be purchased online or for best results, visit your local pool centre for advice.\r
\r
Both tests show that the chlorine level is high as I used Spa Shock last night. The spa will be ready for use within the next 24 hours.\r
\r
Tips:\r
\r
Wait 24 hours before getting into your tub after adding any chemicals.\r
\r
Test your PH and chlorine levels weekly or more often after heavy use.\r
\r
Phenol Red on the left, DPD on the right.\r
\r
Purchase dip testers, far easier and quicker to use\r
\r
Check the filter daily to make sure its clear of debris and rinsed clean with a spray hose. You should replace the filter after 7-10 days of use.\r
\r
I buy the filters online in packs of 12 for a lower unit cost.\r
\r
Try to balance the water PH as early as possible(when setting up). Use PH- chemical mix (as shown in the video) for high PH water areas(limescale) and use PH+ chemical for low(acidic) water areas.\r
\r
Read and follow instructions carefully. It may take several attempts to get the required result of 7.2-7.6PH. Wait at least 30 minutes between tests and repeat if required.\r
\r
Be careful and dont add more than recommended when using the PH+ or - mixes. Adding too much of each to balance the water may cause the water to become cloudy and is difficult to get back to normal.\r
\r
Use bromine over chlorine.\r
\r
The lay z spa Monaco holds 1500 to 1800 litres of water\r
\r
Enjoy!
