How to Disassemble any Laptop in Under 20 minutes - (Asus X53U)

This is a safe instructional video to disassemble the Asus X53U laptop to remove the battery and to remove the hard drive and motherboard if needed.

NOTE: I have a LOT of people asking about what happens if someone accidentally plugs in a headphone jack into either a USB or HDMI port and the system will NOT turn back on. Here is the answer as to what to do if that ever happens in a sticky.

Follow the steps from my video and remove the battery. Reattach the Power Button ribbon cable WITHOUT the battery or AC adapter plugged in and press & hold the power button for 30 seconds to discharge any residual charge on the motherboard/laptop. Detach the ribbon cable, install the battery and then reassemble the laptop but do NOT screw in the screws yet. Assuming your battery is charged, power on the laptop. It SHOULD power on at this point. If it does, then turn off the system and completely reassemble the laptop.
