Trump Slams Merck's CEO After His Resignation From Presidential Council Over Charlottesville Response

President Trump on Monday slammed Merck's CEO in a tweet after he announced his resignation.

After Merck's CEO, Kenneth Frazier, announced his resignation from an advisory panel, President Trump on Monday took to Twitter and said, "Now that Ken Frazier of Merck Pharma has resigned from President's Manufacturing Council, he will have more time to LOWER RIPOFF DRUG PRICES!"
Trump's attack on Frazier comes after the chief executive alluded to Trump's remarks on Charlottesville in his resignation statement.
“America’s leaders must honor our fundamental values by clearly rejecting expressions of hatred, bigotry and group supremacy, which run counter to the American ideal that all people are created equal," Frazier said. "As CEO of Merck and as a matter of personal conscience, I feel a responsibility to take a stand against intolerance and extremism.”
Trump blamed "many sides" in his statement on Charlottesville and didn't specifically condemn white supremacists.
"We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence on many sides, on many sides," Trump said, in part, during a press appearance.
Three people died on Saturday as white nationalists gathered for a large rally in the city.
According to NPR, "One of those killed was a 32-year-old female pedestrian who was hit by a car that plowed into marchers...(and) a short time after the violence erupted, a police helicopter crashed, killing two troopers."
