This is the last of the bank of videos to come from last week's bus ride odyssey and more various bus ride videos are planned as 2014 is the "Year of the Bus" apparently. This is a ride on yet another "Diesel-Electric" hybrid bus as this is the second London United Alexander-Dennis/GE-BAE Systems Enviro 400 Hybrid and this one is numbered as ADH18 (SN60 BYP) working on the Route 94 to Piccadilly Circus as this one has taken over from LG02FBE (see previous video for this one in action). You can actually hear the whine of the GE traction motors over the grunt of the Cummins 4 cylinder engine especially when braking and rapid accelerating as they make a bit of high pitched noise. Personally I prefer the traditional direct-drive setup as they sound more appealing to me, but each to their own as they say. Here are the details below
