Plane crash in Utah kills four
Four people died after a small plane crashed on a Utah highway killing two couples but narrowly missing cars as it barrelled across the lanes through a gap in traffic.
At about 1 p.m., the plane, reportedly flying south from a nearby municipal airport, failed to gain altitude and plunged 300 feet, hitting the centre of freeway I-15, where it burst into flames.
Witnesses said the plane appeared to be out of control when it nose-dived onto the freeway.
No injuries were reported on the ground.
