Jokowi: Ragunan Zoo Is Affordable
President Jokowi said that there were no specific reasons behind his decision to visit the Ragunan zoo in South Tangerang today. Jokowi revealed that he decided to visit the zoo because of its affordable entry fee.
“This is the cheapest public attraction. It’s very much affordable. You can see it by the number of people visiting this place,” said President Jokowi during the end of his visit to Ragunan Zoo on Thursday, June 29.
When Jokowi served as the Jakarta Governor, he went to the Ragunan Zoo to monitor the wildlife kept in the zoo. He said that they looked too thin and undernourished back then.
“The monkeys are now all healthy and cheerful,” President Jokowi said.
President Jokowi added that Ragunan Zoo offers educational values, such as introducing young children to several animals as a form of an early childhood education.
