Man Run Over, Shot When Shooter Mistakes Crab Bait for Dog

Mason County, Washington, police are looking for a man who shot another man and hit him with his truck because he thought the victim was dragging a dog behind him on the road.The victim, who has not been identified, was dragging a dead raccoon to use as crab bait in his traps. Shortly before the incident, Jacob Schley, who knows the victim, spoke with him and filmed him as he dragged the dead animal down the road.Schley started a fundraiser to raise money to help pay for the victim’s treatment.
