An argument over an error in the crafting of a Starbuck’s latte ended in bloodshed on Sunday afternoon.
According to witnesses, a customer at a Park Ridge, Illinois outpost became irate upon learning his drink was not as he’d ordered it, reports WLS.
Another patron is said to have told the man to stop badgering the staff, notes WBBM.
Within moments, the two were engaged in a physical fight and, at some point, one of them pulled a knife.
According to a witness who spoke with WLS, “the guy with the wrong latte started cutting him up and got him in his hand real bad."
WBBM is reporting that it was, in fact, the man that intervened who introduced the weapon to the argument.
Either way, the latte-related violence is considered an isolated incident and area police say the public need not be concerned about an ongoing threat.
