Apple, Google to appear at White House tech summit

Apple CEO Tim Cook is expected to be in attendance for the first meeting of President Trump's American Technology Council. The meeting is an effort to modernize government technology and digital services. Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, as well executives from IBM and Oracle, will also be in attendance. The meeting comes on the heels of public criticism from Cook, Nadella and Google CEO Sundar Pichai in regards to Trump's controversial travel ban. Trump officially formed the council on May 1 and tapped Senior Adviser Jared Kushner to lead it. Facebook has yet to respond to an invitation.
