Comedian Bill Maher apologized for using a racial slur during a live segment of HBO's "Real Time with Bill Maher" show Friday night. Maher made his comment during an interview with Sen. Ben Sasse of Nebraska, after Sasse joked he would like Maher to visit the state and work in the fields. “Work in the fields? Senator, I’m a house n****. No, it’s a joke," Maher responded. "Last night was a particularly long night as I regret the word I used in the banter of a live moment. The word was offensive and I regret saying it and am very sorry," Maher said the following day.
