Sierra Club posted a tweet on the Paris accord decision, "Congratulations, President Bannon."

After President Trump announced that the U.S. will withdraw from the Paris climate agreement, many prominent personalities as well as organizations reacted to the news.
The Hill reports a tweet by the Sierra Club is drawing quite a bit of attention; it reads, "Congratulations, President Bannon."
As the White House worked through the process of making its decision on the Paris agreement, it was reported that chief strategist Steve Bannon was among the individuals leading the side that favored exiting the accord.
As journalist April Ryan commented on the announcement Thursday, "Steve Bannon had a victory lap today...This was one of his babies."
A CNN piece speculates, Bannon's theory is, "if Trump makes good on the things he promised his base during the campaign, he will be well positioned to get re-elected."
And that's what Trump emphasized in his Thursday speech several times, noting in part, "I promised I would exit or renegotiate any deal which fails to serve America’s interests. Many trade deals will soon be under renegotiation. Very rarely do we have a deal that works for this country, but they’ll soon be under renegotiation. The process has begun from day one. But now we’re down to business."
