PCCC 2017 Men's Final

The 2017 Peace Country Climbing Championships at GPRC Climbing Gym, in Grande Prairie, Alberta, saw 90+ climbers attempt to become the first ever champion of this annual event. The best climbers in Northern Alberta and B.C. challenged entrants from Vancouver, Cranbrook, Calgary, and Edmonton to grab one of only five spots in the Finals.

Undefeated in local competitions, Liam Nasedkin was in tough against his older brother and #1 Qualifier Tomas Nasedkin (who came up from Edmonton for the event) as well as Fort St. John's well travelled hard man Brad Lamothe (the most experienced climber in the finals).

During the high pressure round, the climbers had just four minutes each to complete the three problems. The climber with the most completed problems who took the fewest total attempts to finish those problems would be crowned the winner.
