Mother of Uber CEO killed in boat accident

The mother of Uber co-founder Travis Kalanick died in a boat accident on Friday in California. Bonnie Kalanick, 71, was killed after the boat she and her husband Donald, 78, were on hit a rock, according to police. "His mother passed away in a devastating boating accident near Fresno and his father is in serious condition. Our thoughts and prayers are with Travis and his family in this heartbreaking time," Uber statement. Just several weeks ago, Kalanick tweeted a photo with them at the Kentucky Derby.
