Terror attack stopped near Houses of Parliament in London

A man was arrested on suspicion of planning a terrorist attack near Britain’s Houses of Parliament, the Scotland Yard said on Thursday. The man was dressed in dark clothing and carrying a carrying a rucksack containing three large knives. Armed officers from the Specialist Firearms Command caught the suspect and detained him under the Terrorist Act. The surrounding area of Whitehall, London was under lockdown as officers investigate the area. It was not immediately known what his intentions were, but it was reported that the suspect had been under surveillance for some time now. "Detectives from the Counter Terrorism Command are continuing their investigation, and as a result of this arrest there is no immediate known threat."The Metropolitan Police said in a statement
