Under the leadership of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, the government will legalize recreational pot use in Canada as of July 1, 2018. Justice Minister Jody Wilson-Raybould alluded that the legislation would be introduced in the springtime, with an anonymous source confirming the week of April 10th. Raybould promised the legislation would legalize but also strictly regulate and restrict access to marijuana.
