SOUTH SULAWESI, INDONESIA — Four Indonesia farmers in South Sulawesi province were buried under a three-tonne corn heap on Monday, April 3.

It happened at 2:30 p.m. local time, as a couple of residents were harvesting corn in the field. There were nine farmers who were working at that time. Four farmers were sitting below the high wooden hut which contained the three tonnes of corns.

As they were busy peeling corn skins, the wooden hut with corns suddenly collapsed and buried the farmers alive. Four farmers died due to the accident, two more were injured, and the other three survived.

Residents say they were late to help because it was happening on top of the hill, far from their village.
