Rescuers Pull Children Out of Rubble Following Airstrikes in Eastern Damascus Suburb

Following a day in which at least 70 air raids targeted the opposition-held Damascus suburbs of East Ghouta, deadly airstrikes hit the area surrounding the al-Na’asaan Mosque in Douma on April 4.This footage, released by local White Helmet volunteers in the area, shows the evacuation of a number of children from the airstrike rubble, while others are seen attending to severely wounded local residents. The casualty toll was unknown at the time of writing, however unconfirmed activist reports said that two people died from injuries sustained in the airstrikes.
