Oculus co-founder Palmer Luckey has left Facebook. “Palmer will be dearly missed. Palmer’s legacy extends far beyond Oculus. His inventive spirit helped kickstart the modern VR revolution and helped build an industry. We’re thankful for everything he did for Oculus and VR, and we wish him all the best.” Facebook said in a statement.
Palmer's departure comes after a number of controversies surrounding him. Last year he admitted to help fund an internet trolling group that supported Donald Trump. Palmer was also the target of a lawsuit claiming that he stole the underlying technology for the Rift headset.
