Best known as "Baby Ester/Esther Jones" a "stage name" used for the Boop trial V Helen Kane. Gertrude/Gertie C. Saunders was an African American singer who in her earlier career used to use scat like sounds in cabaret

is all false information she did not die it is more of a case of mistaken identity. If that was true where is her birth and death? It is not proven that she died in 1934. Wikipedia will never fix the article as they have used lawsuit news articles

Gertrude hated Jack Jr's son and wanted all the attention the boy tried to run away while living with them but was caught he later reunited with his mother Bessie Smith several years later.
