Baby Esther Jones the Boop Boop a Doop Girl

Best known as "Baby Ester/Esther Jones" a "stage name" used for the Boop trial V Helen Kane. Gertrude/Gertie C. Saunders was an African American singer who in her earlier career used to use scat like sounds in cabaret
shows in Harlem under a pseudonym. Information about Baby Esther's death and name on Wikipedia
is all false information she did not die it is more of a case of mistaken identity. If that was true where is her birth and death? It is not proven that she died in 1934. Wikipedia will never fix the article as they have used lawsuit news articles
from the Helen Kane lawsuit as reference and not done 100% research. Gertrude is listed as originator of Boop Boop a Doop several times mostly in old African American newspapers most of which that have vanished from online archives so the truth can never come out. Someone wants to obviously keep it hidden and twist the whole story their way. There is also a fake image circulating the internet with a white Russian model "Oyla" that is not the real black Betty Boop. The real Betty Boop was African American not white and she invented the Boop-a-Doop which sadly was stolen from her by a white woman by the name of Helen Kane, Helen Kane was later duped by Max Fleischer and his Betty Boop
creation but never gave any credit. They just used Gertrude when they were losing a battle. If Helen Kane had never sued none of this would have been brought to light. Gertie used a stage name in her earlier career and when white singer Helen
Kane took the Fleischer Studios and Paramount who she used to work for to court Gertie's manager lied and stated that Esther had since died. Gertrude later came out in an African American newspaper in late 1934 stating she was the originator of Boop-Boop-a-Doop and that the lawsuit centered on the radio rage that she had created she said neither Betty Boop or Helen Kane created the sound but she. (Footage of Gertie scat singing is near the end
of the video) Gertrude didn't only sing in the baby style of singing she also sung the blues and sometimes yodel-like screechy songs. In her later career she changed her singing style to a deeper more opera/diva-like singing style. In her earlier career she relied on how she looked rather than her singing voice. She had been performing on Broadway since the early 1920s up until the late 1940s and was one of Bessie Smith's rivals. Gertrude was a curly haired light skinned woman who thought high of herself. She was played by Chantelle Rose in the film adaption. The real Gertrude Saunders stole Bessie Smith's husband Jack. Gertrude hated Jack Jr's son and wanted all the attention the boy tried to run away while living with them but was caught he later reunited with his mother Bessie Smith several years later. (In the film Gertrude wasn't given a second name so the film did not give her the spotlight) She's just known as Gertrude. In some old footage Gertie even did her funny mannerisms including her meaningless sounds and funny faces.
